Fredrik Backman

I absolutely love Fredrik Backman's storytelling style. He started out as a blogger and columnist in Sweden before hitting the international jackpot with his debut novel, A Man Called Ove. He has this incredible talent for writing about grumpy or quirky characters who you can't help but fall in love with by the end of the book. He lives in Stockholm with his wife and two kids, and his books have been translated into dozens of languages. Aside from Ove, he is also super well-known for Anxious People and his deep-diving Beartown trilogy, which takes a much more serious look at community and hockey culture.
