Editorial Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
Our purpose
Epiloguely helps readers understand books and literary developments through reviews, reporting, explainers and commentary. We aim to publish useful work that adds context rather than simply repeating promotional material.
Research and sourcing
- We prefer publishers, authors, award organisations, libraries, official filings and other primary sources for factual claims.
- For developing news, we compare multiple credible reports when primary confirmation is unavailable.
- Dates, names, quotations and edition details are checked before publication where reasonably possible.
- Rumour, prediction and opinion are labelled as such and are not presented as confirmed fact.
Book reviews
Reviews should explain the reviewer's experience of the book, its strengths, limitations, themes and likely audience. Ratings are editorial judgements, not paid placements. Plot summaries should support analysis rather than replace it, and spoilers should be signposted when material.
AI-assisted work
Technology may assist with research organisation, transcription, proofreading, formatting or idea development. It must not replace editorial responsibility. Material facts, quotations, names, dates and publication details require human verification. We do not knowingly publish fabricated experiences, invented sources or unreviewed bulk text as original reporting.
Independence and commercial relationships
Advertising, affiliate links, complimentary review copies and partnerships do not guarantee coverage or a favourable conclusion. Sponsored material, if accepted, must be clearly identified. Editorial decisions remain separate from ad placement.
Updates and corrections
Material errors are corrected transparently. Significant updates may change the displayed modification date and include an editor's note. See our Corrections Policy.
