πEpiloguely Editorial Review
Written and reviewed by Shadab Alam.
The Alchemist states its basic problem early, and I became interested before its treatment of purpose fully convinced me.
A young shepherd follows a recurring dream from Spain toward Egypt, meeting teachers who encourage him to pursue his Personal Legend. What interested me was the gap between the rule of the story and the private price of purpose, visible most clearly in the simple experience.
I was most attentive during the simple experience, hopeful tone, and recurring images that make the book easy to remember. The book is most persuasive
